These charming earrings are modeled on spherical rock crystal pendants from the Viking Age, which were found on Gotland / Sweden anddateback to themiddle of the 11th century.

The historical model of the Viking Agerock crystal pendantcomes from Domerarve / ja on the island of Gotland and is now in the Statens Historiska Museet,Stockholm.

Unlike the original rock crystal models, these Gotlandic ball earrings come with aclearglass ball, which was also a highly prized material during the Viking age as it was very difficult to make.

The viking earrings are made ofbronzethat has been silver plated.
